“Unexpected paradise”
My husband visited Jardin Del Eden 17 years ago and continued to talk about what a great place it was….so when we went to Costa Rica last week, we did a visit. After our lunch, which was mouth watering…European …Italian…fresh fish….lovely salads… read more – Jardin del Eden Hotel, Tamarindo Costa Rica
- Leatherback sea turtles
Watch one of the oldest living reptiles on earth!
The Las Baulas National Park on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica is one of the world’s few remaining sites of significant leather back turtle nesting activity. For thousands of years leather back sea turtles have hatched at Playa Grande and return every year to lay their eggs. This national park is very close to the hotel and you can see nature’s amazing miracle from October to February.
- Palo Verde National Park
Palo Verde National Park is the most important nesting and feeding habitat for local and migratory birds in Costa Rica. Ride a boat along the Tempisque River, the longest in the province and see the high diversity of this national park: crocodiles, iguanas, howler and white-face monkeys.
This excursion is perfect for bird lovers: many different species of herons and egrets, king fisher’s, hawks, ibises and more.
- Tamarindo Estuary Boat
Tamarindo Estuary is part of Las Baulas National Park very near from our property.
The guide will help you explore and discover the Tamarindo Estuary and its forest, sanctuary for crocodiles, birds, iguanas and monkeys. This is a good excuse to leave the hotel for a couple of hours and see some wild life.
Adventure tours
- Canopy tours ¦ Ziplines
The Canopy Tour in Costa Rica is 100% adrenaline!!
Take the ride of your life in the forests of Costa Rica: a system of platforms and cables hanging from treetops will allow you to enjoy nature from a completely different point of view. This is the time to see the forest like you have never seen it before. Your adventure will begin from the top of these ancestral trees: be a part of the incredible life of the tropical forest! No rappelling or climbing experience is required and most important: anyone can do it. First, professional guides will get you ready with the equipment and show you how to do it. Do not forget your camera.

Discover the diverse tropical underwater marine life of Costa Rica. The Catalina Islands is a small cluster of rocks in front of the Guanacaste province coast with great visibility.
Here, divers will find a large population of white tip reef sharks and a lot of mantas, too.
If you are not certified yet, just do the Introductory Resort Course Dive or the “Full Open Water”.
- Kayak Snorkeling
A visit of 2.5 hours to Isla Capitan, in front of the beach, is a different way to see Tamarindo’s submarine coast life. This is a short excursion which the whole family can enjoy.
- Boat Snorkeling
This is a good way to do some snorkeling in Tamarindo.
A 3 hour morning boat trip will take to you to a solitary cove where we anchor.
An experienced local snorkel guide will show you the abundant marine life in Costa Rica.
- Catamaran
Silently glide along Costa Rica’s Gold Coast through some of Guanacaste’s exotic bays, white sand beaches and tropical jungles.

Kayak through sea caves, float on a raft, snorkel in the bay or run down the deserted white sand beach while the ever helpful crew prepares a feast of fruit, chips, dips and salads.
After frolicking in the secluded bay, the crew hoists the sails while the boat skims quietly across the surface of the pacific through Playa Grande finally reaching Tamarindo Beach.

We will help you to find the one with the right shape and size for you, choose from a large selection and enjoy surfing in Costa Rica.
For more experienced surfers, go surfing at Playa Grande or Playa Avellanas, local’s favorites near our property.
