Where to eat in Playas del Coco?

Playas del Coco in Guanacaste has a surprising variety of restaurants for visitors to enjoy. If you’d like some reasonably priced local fare, you can try a hearty breakfast at Soda La Teresita.
A Lo Tico Restaurant serves up fusion dishes, Asian and Mexican inspired, resulting in an interesting mix of tacos, egg rolls and guacamole. It is also located a few blocks from main road, for a quieter atmosphere conducive to romance and conversation.
Another option is Citron Restaurant, located at The Pacifico Retail Village. The modern décor has a terrace as well as indoor seating option. Definitely a treat for date night or any celebration, it’s recommended you call ahead for a reservation to make sure your table is waiting.
If you love having fresh seafood, treat yourself to The Lookout, famous for its oysters and craft beers as well as amazing views. Papagayo Seafood Restaurant is centrally located on main road in Playas del Coco, and offers a sushi menu along with their seafood dishes, some infused with Creole seasonings.
If it is Italian you crave, both La Caveja and La Dolce Vita restaurants make their own fresh pasta, as well as thin crust pizza, and they both offer gluten free options in their menus.
Looking for a coffee and a snack? Stop by one of the coffeehouses in the area. One is Ticoffia, offering breakfast, snacks, lunch, and Costa Rican coffee served in a variety of ways. Java 654 is a great place to stop by for an iced coffee, waffles or paninis. Stay for a cup of coffee and take advantage of their WIFI, or get a smoothie to go on the way to the beach.
